About Me

"I'm afraid my body won't be able to keep up with my ambitions."
- unknown

Hi, I'm Stephanie.

I'm a twenty-something writer, journalist, and author of the book Reaching Home (Ellechor Publishing, 2017)

The most important thing I've learned from this blog is that I am ever changing and ever growing.
These pages are an outlet for my growing up and even though they sometimes might look a little crayon-scribbled and coffee stained, God will always been here in these words working through me.

Writing means a lot to me. Putting words together helps me to process things. It helps me to love better, to grieve better, and sometimes to change the world.
Here I am ambitious, among other things--creative, heavy, happy, tired.

In 2012, I was diagnosed with Lyme Disease, so sometimes my ambition scares me because I can't always keep up with it. Sometimes there's no energy left for ambitions.
Lyme has changed me in ways I never would have imagined. In recent years, I've been getting better and that's changed me too.

I have a beautiful life and am often overwhelmed by how many people are in it who love me. They make the days worth living. Life is beautiful and I am grateful for it.

I am always looking to make new friends, so leave a comment, send an email, or sing into the void, I'd love to get to know you. <3

  2. I just stumbled across your blog today - so cute and inspirational! I'm an eighteen year old fiction writer, too. Were you perhaps homeschooled? I come from a homeschool family but I'm now a student at Wheaton College. :)

Keep on writing and shining for the King of Kings!

    1. Hi Ciera! So nice to meet you!

Why yes, I was homeschooled. I graduated this year, and am taking a year off to pursue writing. I loved taking a peek at your blog, and I'm glad you stopped by!
