Showcase: Welcome and Giveaway

If you're new to my blog, thanks so much for stopping by! If you've been here a while, well, I'm just delighted you're coming back to check out another post. I have something super exciting for you this morning, and truth be told, I've been waiting impatiently for this day to get here. Today is the beginning of a week-long writer showcase I'll be hosting here! Yep, that's right. I'll have a new blog post every morning from now until next Saturday. You'll get to read interviews, devotionals, and some wonderfully crafted short stories. I'll have the honor of introducing you to some wonderful children of the faith, published authors and soon-to-be-published authors, and just some lovely individuals in general. Excited much? I know I am.

To make things even better, I've planned a giveaway to begin this whole shindig! If you've been following me for a while, you know I might be mildly obsessed with crafting handmade soap, right? Well, I actually have some to give to you today! These are a pretty pink color with the scent of gardenias. I make most of my soap with honey and oats, as you see here. Not only do they present a pretty pattern, but they're also good for your skin. This contest is open to U.S. residents only. I apologize to my international readers. Maybe we'll try for that next time!

Also, to my guys, I know this isn't quite the ideal giveaway when it comes to preserving your manliness, but I'm positive you have a sister, mother, or special young lady in your life who would love to be gifted some pretty soap. So you see? Entering is no loss to your reputation.

On a completely unrelated topic, I picked up My Dearest Friend: Letters of Abigail and John Adams at the library yesterday. My goodness -- what word craft! I've been thoroughly enjoying the letters and highly encourage you to pick up the book at your library. You might even see some of these letters pop up on my blog in the near future! :)

Until we meet again.
